Awarded the 2010 SOPI Industrial Safety Award of Honor for achieving 4,387,542 man-hours without lost time accident, RRPP aims to operate in a zero-accident workplace and to ensure the safety of employees, contractors, visitors, communities and stakeholders.

A sound Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) performance is a goal of Rapu-Rapu Minerals, Inc. and Rapu-Rapu Processing, Inc. (RRMI/RRPI) spearheaded by its top management. Thus, the Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS 18001:2007) Standard is adapted by the company to implement, maintain, and continually improve the existing OH&S management system pursuant to the provisions of R.A. 7942 otherwise known as the Philippine Mining Act 1995 as implemented by DENR Administrative Order No. 96-40 and DAO 2000-98.

Under the mining act, safety policies and standard operating procedures should be in accordance with the Mine Safety and Health Standard set by DENR and the Occupational Safety and Health Standard issued by the Bureau of Working Condition, Department of Labor and Employment. Generally, the implementation of safety and health program for the mining operations is monitored and regulated by the Mines and Geosciences Bureau, Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
