The mine development area has a total of 180 hectares composed of 26 hectares for open pit, 20 hectares for road & camp, 5 hectares for processing plant, 50 hectares for tailings storage facility and embankment, and the remaining area of 79 hectares are untouched.
The mining capacity is adjusted based on the requirements of RRPI. As of July 31, 2010, 1,775,000 tons of ore were mined. Total remaining mineral reserve is 3M metric tons with 1.5% Cu and 2.5% Zn.
Tailings dam is under progressive build up since start of mining operation. With initial elevation of 126 mrl and capacity of 180,000m3 in 2006, it is now raised to the present elevation of 164 mrl and capacity of 2,404,000m3 as of September 2010. Final target is 170 mrl at 3,204,000m3 capacity.
