Rapu-Rapu Minerals, Inc. (RRMI) received the 2010 Titanium Achievement Award for Surface Mining given by the Presidential Mineral Industry Environmental Award (PMIEA) for its exemplary environmental, safety and health management, and community development. Such prestigious award requires zero environment violations, compliance with all requirements of the DENR, has lodged a contingent Liability Fund, has an approved SDMP, no fatal accident for the coverage period, no significant damage to lives and properties as a result of operations.
Established through Executive Order No. 399 of February, 1997, the award recognizes the social and environment initiatives and achievements by the private sector in the mining industry.
